MONUMENTAL TRIP to CHICAGO :-)

So last week I took Connie to Chicago for her Spring Break...and as some/many of you know, it was quite an eventful trip I'll start the entry with the biggest news...through pics of course

Connie and I are now engaged It was a great time in the windy city...the whole thing was a surprise for her. I planned the entire trip...the flights, the hotel rooms at the Renaissance near O'Hare...and also the early morning knock on the door with a tray of breakfast in my hands with a little red box underneath the coffee mug which she lifted up herself and found in amazment her engagement ring Its a pretty quick one run on sentence of the way it happened but I guess it gives a good picture

So now to a picture show about the rest of the trip

Connie's suite/room in the Reinassance by O'Hare

Chicago-style hot dogs. I dont ever remember having one of these when I was there

Inside the field museum. Me laying on the Egyptian...cot?

We liked how the lizards seem to be looking at us as well when we took the pics!

Two of our favorite animals. Doesnt the snapping turtle look nuts?

This is the view of the city from the observatory on the 96th floor of the Hancock building Ina, it was great to see you after so many years! Thanks so much for taking Connie and I around downtown and showing us the "Gold Coast." You're great...hurry up and move out to California...ha!

Connie and I waiting at an L station below the city Part of the Chicago experience.    Although it may look like food...that pic was taken in a SOAP shop The shop is touted to be a favorite of big name celebrities.

A little out of order. Ina took this pic in front of the historical Chicago Water-tower.   Thats a pic of connie laying over the edge of a building on a construction railing.

Gino's east, deep dish Chicago style pizza. Connie's first time. Rich, it was great to see you again and Im happy that you got to meet Connie. You look great ha ha! It was good remembering good times...crazy times at Wheaton and in Tennesee

In front of Gino's East

Thats all the pics now. Sung, Yuji...it was good seeing you both as well. Sung, thanks for taking us to Morton's Steakhouse to celebrate our engagement! You're a great brother....see you out here in Cali too!

Sarah...it was good to see you at Wheaton. How nuts...after almost 4 years and talking/meeting at ROC retreat now you're gonna be a senior at my alma mater in a few more months. Thanks for helping out and seeing Connie and I when we visited. It was good meeting your friend Grace too! Too bad we didnt take pics! How did I forget to do that? :-p

So its been literally a bajillion years since my last entry...well literally one year and about 3 months, although in the xanga world that is practically an eternity. It would almost be safe to say that this site died...and now has suddenly come to life with an unexpected breath that was silently breathed out of nowhere. So what inspired me to put an entry up? It was this man's latest xanga entry http://www.xanga.com/raydog. I literally said out loud "OH damn!" when I read his entry. I love it! That's why Ray and I get along so well...

Its freak awesome...and that is a phrase Ray and I share in agreement. This is seriously in the realm of the "Scott Song" articles that some of you may or may not know about...i hope Ray's entry makes its way around

So since Oct 2004, what has happened? Wow...where to begin:

1) Graduated from PA school in atlanta

2) Drove three days by myself out west to California where mom, Sophia, and Connie are
3) Studied like mad and took my national PA board exam - and passed Praise God
4) Began attending Newsong Church
5) Visited Peru and the Galapagos islands with dad - his present to me for finishing grad school
6) Began working at a Family Practice private clinic in santa ana...speaking Spanish all day long
7) Auditioned and joined the Newsong worship team
8) Got a job at Miller Children's Hospital as a pediatric hospitalist (current full-time job)
9) Received a part-time offer at St.Joseph hospital Emergency Room
10) Took Connie ring shopping for her birthday in November
11) Went to Thailand with Newsong LA for a medical missions trip from the 17th- Dec 2nd. Saw Bryant there and things that would give direction to my life from here forward. Was part of the Newsong Bangkok first preview service.
12) Went down with Connie to Atlanta to sing at Ray and Jessica's wedding this December 2005

What else? I guess if i were to put everything that has happened in the last year since moving out here to Cali in a nut shell, it would be the above.

Cheescake Factory - Perimeter - Oct 2004

Quite a long time since my last posting. PA school at Emory is coming to a close as I am in my last semester. No more clinical rotations...just classroom things to take care of before Im out. I have definitely grown to love my cell group here in Atlanta.

Connie came out to visit me this past weekend which was great

The cool thing about taking pictures in a booth with mirrors behind the round semi-circle seat is that you see others in the pictures as well.
